If I could get a couple of testers who are using older blackberries (version 4.2 or older), I'd like to have them check this version as well. PM for details.

I am having major issues with this program again. When I click onto calendar and choose to copy the message into notes...it gives me an option to request more of the message. After I press ok, the calendar entry shows up.

But, if I click back and click the onto calendar again, I can' get the message to show up in notes again

Ever since I have been testing 3.7.18 I have not had any problems at all. Everything works just like it is supposed to.

I just tried to recreate the problem eyecon82 indicated and was not able to recreate the problem on my 8310.

The 1st try was not (that factor was not indicated) so I just tried it with an HTML email with images and links.

It worked both times. The only difference was the second time the dialogue box asking if you wanj to copy the rest of the message did not appear - However the information was in the notes section just like in the first try.

What version of OntoCalendar are you using, and what version is your firmware?

Are you using BES or BIS?

Rknobbe,

I have just reproduced what I think are the same results that eyecon82 had. If I take a heavy HTML message and click onto calendar it asks if I want to convert to text and bring in. If I hit yes, it copies the HTML in text format to the notes area as it should. If you exit the appointment at this point WITHOUT saving and then go back and try to add the same message onto calendar again it will not prompt nor bring foward any of the body. As I said on my BB this only happens if you try to put it onto calendar, bring the html to the notes then ESCAPE out without saving.

I personally don't feel that this is that big of an issue. It takes a certain set of circumstances that normally wont happen to make it happen. Remember in my opinion this is probably one of the most useful and productive apps ever to be released for the BB and the price is definately right.

Eyecon82, please correct me if I have the circumstances wrong.

Just my $.02

4.2.18 only fetches the plaintext part of a message, not the HTML. I'll PM eyecon82 with the location of that alpha release to see if it helps.

Sorry, not 4.2.18. The upcoming version is 3.7.18. I haven't had my coffee yet!

I'd be happy to test the new release.
Have 4.2 on my curve, and deleted the previous version -- the working version I had only had calendar, and I'd love to have tasks as well.

2kewlgypsy has had success with all the features of 3.7.18 on a curve running BB OS 4.2 Any other takers?

Default Version 3.7.18 available for broader release.

I haven't gotten any complaints from Blackberry OS version 4.2 users on the new 3.7.18 Alpha release, so I've moved it to the Beta directory on the server.

Current features:
+ seems to work properly with both HTML and plain-text mail
+ has the ability to add Contacts, Phone Call Log entry, Email Messages, Blackberry Messenger messages and SMS Messages to either a Calendar or Todo entry.
+ optionally copy the text of a contact (details), or Message to the Notes field of the calendar entry or Todo item
+ Still, and always will be, Free!
+ Source code is available, such as it is. See the website for more details.

Please take a look at the new version in the Beta folder.

I have a complain for the older version....I would click "onto calendar" and it will say it is requesting the rest of the message and it will do it properly

HOWEVER, if I cancel out of that calendar appointment and discard it.....when I try to make it again by clicking "onto calendar" the body of the email won't show up in the "notes" section anymore....can you try to duplicate that please?

I haven't seen that particular problem myself, but there have been a number of improvements to the code that handles requesting "More" of the message. It's very likely this problem has been fixed in 3.7.18. Could you try the Beta and let us all know?

Thanks.
rog.

Wirelessly posted (8300)

I believe there is an app called

Taskify
Notify
Both found in the berrystory(unofficial app store)

And both free but rudementary.

I keep upgrading to the latest beta, I like this program and it works well. Can you make an option to completely make NO default reminder? Setting it to 0 makes a reminder for the exact task time.
