Hi,
I have a BB 8320 with BIS OS 4.5.0.44
When I try to view Youtube videos on my EDGE connection, it stops and gives an error. Strangely when I switch to wifi I can play all with no problems.
Any suggestions why is that and how to fix it?

It could be caused by latency. It could be that the EDGE network is dropping intermittently and that causes your YouTube session to fail.

Well I use a Curve 8900 on same environment and it plays on EDGE as well as wifi....

Hhmm, can't think of anything else then. I can seem to get YouTube to work on my Bold, not even over WiFi. Still looking into it.

YouTube works fine with my 8310 os 4.5. Be sure to go to m.youtube.com. When ever I watch a video it pops up in the media player no problems.

Just swapped my curve 8320 with a Bold. But same problem, can't play youtube via edge.

Well thanks for Xenozu, ScooterG, really helpful.

But here's what I found out: youtube needs WAP access to stream and my service provider's wap icon doesnot browse except for the built-in URL. I just confirmed from helpline and they say you cannot browse anywhere else through WAP.

Now what I am looking for is anyway to bypass the WAP restriction... I have subscribed to BIS...remember.

Wrll here's something new. Neither xenozu nor vision working via wifi on curve. But strangely working on another wifi through a cable internet service. Mine is wimax service. Same router and setting. Now let's see what the techs have to say.
