Question Failed to locate upload message - ignoring chunk. RefId=

I have a lot of these popping up. I googled and very little came back, in fact some people have posted this exact thing on this site, but didn't get any where.

I've been having problems activating users lately, so I'm trying to determine if this has anything to do with it. My BES is 4.1.6.10

Anyone have any clues?

This usaually happens here when users takes lots of pictures and emails them out on his device.

Guy was looking at houses one night and read his emails at the time he had the issues.
He sent out about 30 meg of pics from his device.

But what problems are you having with activations?
Are you doing OTA EA?

yeah, we do OTA EA. They just seem to time out. At first it only seemed like it was out Verizon lines, but now our Sprint lines do it as well. I end up pulling the battery, removing them from BES, everything I can think of and eventually after resetting the EA password a few times they finally activate. It's just really strange because we just replaced all of our devices a month ago and no one had any issues activating any of the 120 phones, but now we are.

Yes, I use the generate and email activation password. I have not checked any of these to see if the dat file is being delivered.

Doesn't the dat file disappear pretty fast? Is there another way to check to make sure it was delivered?

I white listed RIM mail servers on my spam filter, so it will get delivered.
You should be able to check mail logs to see if it was deleivered and removed.

If in you BES logs you see "Old OTAKEYGEN packet is cancelled" for that new user, then data plan is wrong and power cycle must of reset the phones data plan.
