8520 Sucks
Please Login to Remove!
I used palm from its first model until the Treo melt down. High tech in a poorly built device. After close to $1000.00 spent in one year just trying to keep a functioning phone I quit palm, I thought, for life. I have used BB now for 3 years and recently upgraded to a 8520. I did this because I thought the Friction ball might avoid the once in awhile ball problems on the curve model phones. Needless to say, I have regreted this upgrade from day one. The phone is amazing and useless to me at the same time. I like just about every feature and yet I am ready to have the thing disconected all together because no matter who I talk to on forums I cannot get this dang thing to sync with MS Outlook. This operation has always been a primary reason why I converted to BB. Secondly, my other BB have functioned perfectly, Hence, has BB gone the way of a profit hunger Palm and starting dropping the ball on Hi tech in well made devices> If the PM does not work right the phone has becomes just another hunk of junk. I wonder how the driods work.

My sync works perfectly with outlook. Just because you're having problems doesn't mean everyone is. It also doesn't mean an error on RIMs turf. Could be a problem with your PC or OS on your PC.

Thank you guys (DubDub & devnell) I,m not at my office but when I get to it I'll try devnells discovery at ...confused.html> And devnell, a personal note. I'm sorry if I sounded so angry, but the fact of the matter is I was angry. I'll try to be more reasonable in the future. I trully am amazed by BB fan, just an upset one at the moment.

And remember that this is a volunteer run forum, not associated with Research in Motion. Attitude (even if you are upset) is not appreciated. I'm sure there were people who read your note earlier and chose not to help...

Aside from this being a "Rant" & Rave forum, a little (Attitude) should be expected once in awhile wouldn't you think. Anyway, I have hired an IT tech and he has fixed the problem for about $200.00. Basically, a translation corruption occured during upgrade reading and writing. My system now works in the excelent way that BB has always worked for me in past.
Thanks friends!

This was the first trackpad device. If you search back, you will learn why the focus at the time wasnt quality.
