Yes.

Otherwise seems to have limited memory leaks, good battery life.
Moving across days in the calendar by swiping the touchpad works better than on .344 but still temperamental. Also socail feeds is faster but not quite there yet. I wish viigo was up dated.
Really like this OS6. So fast!

Does AAC file tagging work properly in either of the leaked OS6 builds?

I just re-ripped most of my CDs to 320kbps AAC, and then realized that OS 5 doesn't recognize the tags properly. I'm wondering if maybe I should re-upgrade to 6.0.0.358 to get that functionality.

Hi all, I got my FIRST EVER BlackBerry 9700 yesterday. B) I'm not new to flashing handheld devices though. I've been from Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and iPhone too.

However, this is the FIRST TIME I ever failed at flashing (or updating for this case? :P)..

I can't install the OS6 ver. 358/344 on my phone.. I've followed the instructions in detail. Installed the latest DM, even the BBSAK.

I've downloaded both versions, but to no avail. I installed the device software version 6.0, upgraded Desktop Manager to version 6, deleted the vendor.xml file, backed up my device, and ran loader.exe... And what do I see after clicking the next button: a greyed out text saying "The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."

HOWEVER, I tried downloading the latest OS 5 version 1607, and was able to install it without trouble.

Help me, please? Can't wait to install the OS 6 Beta.. Don't care if it sucks, I can downgrade anytime anyhow.

Thank you! BlackBerry DOES rock!

Do you have a data plan? Make sure you have your sim card in with a valid BB data plan.

Oh my, I don't... Sigh... So most tweaks/downloads are possible only with a Data Plan?

Use BBSAK to wipe the device. It should say "Error 507 Reload Software" when its done. Then you should be able to load OS6. Make sure you make a backup first.

Flashed this over 344 with no issue after deleting TMobile files and vendor.xml. Started the upgrade, walked the dog and everything was done when I was back. BES resynced everything and all seems well.

6.0 is sooooooo much nicer than 5.x. My wife really wishes she could get it on her 9000!

Some carriers don't yet have service books for OS6.

You will need a backup of your service books from OS5. You may need to downgrade back to OS5, then make a backup of your service books by going to Options >Advanced Options >Service Book. Type alt + s b e b. Then use DM to make either a full backup or a backup of just the service books. Then update to OS6, do the same alt + s b e b in the Service Book menu and restore the service books.

Remove OS6 from the pc from Add/Remove Programs.

Then install the old OS to the pc. You can get it from your carrier or check the Device Specific Forums here for the latest.

Then run Loader.exe again and it will downgrade.

I had the same problem after upgrading from .344 with Facebook. Did a battery pull and it worked.

Upgraded from 5.0.0.979 without a hitch, just had to upgrade the LinkedIn app as it was slightly outdated and didn't start on OS 6.0. Enterprise Activation to BES without any manual action. Very fast interface, browser finally like it should be and the universal search is excellent. Bluetooth to my Audi A4 BNS carkit fine. No specific issues with this build until now, although battery life seems slightly less than my previous 5.0.
