TTsoldier - did you get that screw situation resolved? I opened mine up a few weeks ago to change the bezel and what I found was apparently there are 2 or 3 different sized screws. I used a Torx T5 on several, a T4 on one, and on the last I used a T6. Now, on that last one, the T6 was slightly bigger (by like a micron) yet the T5 was too small to grab. So using the T6 I CAREFULLY turned it to get it out, then CAREFULLY tightened it when I went to re-assemble. I didn't want to risk stripping the screw head.

My screw situation has left me with 5 screws and a broken off corner. But hey, it does the job! I can see the screws beginning to thread, so I'm going to buy a set of screws and swap them out.

I'll have an extra one -.-"

Get dirty easily you just need to be bit more enthuastic than your average user, and i personally preferr white gadgets, simple & clean, white usb, white laptop, white headphones, white camera name it lol.

TT hows the phone coming on?

I was actually going with with white initially... But due to reading up about it getting dirty, I frowned upon it.

I'm still waiting on the screen mate. I'm really pissed.

Ok I'm really LOL of your posts I'm sorry but let me give you some tips and advice before you f*ck up more on your phone.

I'm really experienced with opening phones as I did it for a living at a shop in the Netherlands.

Ok You need the right tools to open the bold up.

First of you need the right Torx screw driver.
T5 is the correct one. (When you open it up lay down the phone and unscrew it)
If you buy a T5 try it out as some of the torx are sometimes a little bigger then the other or sometimes smaller. (the torx has to fit perfectly to unscrew it)

Don't give allot of pressure when turning the screw but easily turn it (you can give it a little shock to turn it) It has to come lose very easy as long as you do it slowly.

When you put the screw back in do the same as i mentioned above, when your turning the screw don't turn it as hard as you can because you will make the screw hole wider and the most common problem is that you make the screw head round and then you won't get the screw out anymore. When it is tight give it a little shock and then leave it.

When the screw head is round, you have a problem we all know that. How to Fix that problem without breaking it! you can do it with a little drapper but most of the time you tighten it to hard, so it's stuk in there.
When that is the problem you can better drill it out but you don't want to do that because it is precise work. (if you made the screw head round I think you don't want to drill the screw out because you made it round all ready and that is a sign you didn't handle the phone well when opening it)

I hope this is helpful for you guys. If you have any questions about unscrewing your phone or have a problem just ask.

And you have to buy the screens from ebay because when I buy a screen I get it in 5 working days.

And also TTsoldier where did you bought that kick ass gold cover?
I really want that one 2 It looks really nice. I had the 8320 back in the days and that one was also gold.

Also I did allot of trackball changing but I find that the original track ball works the best.
But if the trackball works well for you keep it in.

1. I dont know what you "LOL' at, because nothing seems funny?

2. Where in them posts did anyone ask for how to open or disassemble a phone?

3. If you want to give some advice don be SMART about it.

4. Try not to state the obvious.

4. We can sit here and talk about how experienced we all are, it wont get us no where.

SHEEEEEESH

hey guys, i had the same problem my 8900 screw was rounded out and i simply put a piece of paper on the tip of the screw driver and smoothed it down with my fingers to give it some more traction (if u can say that) and it worked...the screw came out fine and screwed back in fine as well....try it out
