Called tech support to figure out what was wrong with my phone and the (not very helpful) lady said to wipe my phone and then reinstall my apps one at a time using the desktop manager. How do i do this??? (please make it simple, im new to the whole bb thing)

First thing you should try it removing the BlackBerry for about 1 minute.
