Default Push email timing question/ concern

Please Login to Remove!

This might be a dumb question, but I used to have the 8830 through Sprint and email would arrive almost immediately after it was sent to my gmail, yahoo, and university email accounts on my 8830. Now I have gotten the 8130 and gmail arrives instantly, as does my email at my sprint.blackberry.net email, BUT my yahoo email and university email seems to sometimes take over an hour to arrive and sometimes it does not arrive at all. I am curious, could this issue have anything to do with the handset (the 8130) itself being as I never had the issue with the 8830. I have BIS through Sprint, and the weird thing is, messages I send from the 8130 through all my email accounts are received instantly on my desktop PC, the lag time of receiving yahoo and school email on my 8130 is puzzling. Any info as to whether it could be a handset issue or a network problem or advice would be appreicated.

Your University should take no more than 15 minutes. All the others should be instant. Have you tried deleting your Yahoo account and adding it back in? If this is a recent chance it could also be a network issue that may resolve itself.

You can try to use the built-in Network Diagnostic Application to diagnose it.
Go to Options/Mobile Networks, then click Diagnostics Test.
