Default Unable to enter port numbers for web sites on Bold browser

Please Login to Remove!

It appears that you are not able to enter port numbers in the Blackberry Browser on the Bold. For example you cannot enter the number ":8080" in the following mywebpage.com:8080. In fact even if you enter the default of 80 it seems to cause problems.

This means that I can't get to web pages that I have set up on my PCs to do things like control SageTV, etc.

Note that I am able to do this fine when using the Opera Mini Browser on my Bold!

Has anyone else tried this and had similar results?

Or is there some other way to enter port numbers for the Blackbery browser.

Problems how? I just entered http : // www . google . com : 80 (no spaces, obviously) on my Bold and it worked just fine. No errors. If that is not a good enough test, got a site to try?

I have used http : // www . mywebssite .com :3000 (same no spaces & fake web site name) to be able to reach my mail server and it works like a top. No issues at all. Actually found out my e-mail server had a mobile interface I didn't know was there. lol

Perhaps this is carrier based, I am on Rogers in Canada, since the exact same URL including port works without a problem in Opera Mini.
