Default Drowned My 8700

Please Login to Remove!

good morning folks!<br> i dropped my 8700 in the sink this morning while brushin my teeth......i immediately removed da battery and use a towel to remove the lil water that was there. Do you think it will dry out or should i just buy a new one??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

welcome to the forums. Let it dry for at least a few days, usually takes a week. if you can set the pieces of the device in a bag of dry rice. The rice will pull the water out of the device. You *might* be ok.

Just DON'T put the battery back in right away. You're off to a good start. If you let it dry out thoroughly you will most likely be in good shape (although any warranty is now void.)

Keep in mind that my 7200 was out in the snow, rain, mud and frozen in the ice for 4 months
It was completly covered in mud. It works perfectly lie the day i lost it. They are alot tougher then you think. just let it dry for a few days, after a few days blow it out with either an air can or air compresser on low setting.
