Default Lost in a see of blackness

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Forum,

Hoping someone can help me here.

I look after an Exchange server, and have recently installed BES (Express) to connect 2 users.

I followed the install guide, complete successfully.

I logged in to Administration Service and setup the users, and set the activation passwords.

The users have entered these in to there devices, which seem to accept the passwords, and then they get a 'connecting to service or server' message, which eventually times out.

I can see several blackberry.net data carry emails appearing in there mailbox.

So, how to I even begin debugging???

Thanks, much'ly.

did the etp dat file get removed by BES?

if not might be a permissions issue, the device do have a blackberry data plan correct?

BIS or a BES plan? both will work, but BIS needs an app for Over The Air activaions.

OK, thanks for your response!

No the etp data file did not get removed, in fact more seem to be appearing!

I read somewhere else about running the IMESTest tool. I get OpenMsgStore() for this profile failed (8004011d)

My boss organised Vodafone, as I have been told they are ready for BES, and that all I would have to do is issue the activation password.

No, what a doughnut!

OK, ran, and now getting this, so looks like a permission issue. I have repeated the steps to set this permission via AD but no joy:
