I just set up my BB Bold 9000 to sync with my Excgange Server using BES Express.
All is fine except on the handset I have one Contact List (Desktop) that contains all the contacts I have added to my Exchange contacts since I set up the BES (I had none in there prior to that) plus all the contacts that were on the handset synced from my outlook desktop.
I'd like to combine all of my contacts into my Exchange contacts but if I move a contact from the personal folders contacts into the Exchange contaxct folder I end up with two contacts on the BB9000.
There does not seem to be a way to delete all of the contacts on the handset other than one by one?
I have a cunning plan
Export all contacts to pst files
Turn off wireless sync on the BB9000
Connect BB9000 to my Outlook / Desktop Manager
Tell it not to sync contacts -- which I think will cause it to delete all contacts on the handheld?
Turn Wireless Sync back on
Move all contacts into the Exchange folder
Contacts get synced with handheld
Job Done.
Can anyone see any problem with this plan?
I am concerned that if I turn off Wireless Sync simply turning it back on again won't work and I'll have to re-install BES / reconnect as a user......
Just had a thought as I type - does the BES desktop manager enable me to manage contacts on the handset?
