Hello there.
I have a regular BB device from my Company (BES service).
I am willing to shift to a Non-RIM device and have read lots of documents here.
I read this (from BB Connect Desktop help file): "If you do not have access to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0 or later, use the BlackBerry Connect Desktop for Windows Mobile to integrate your Smartphone with your work email account."
I don't want to get in touch with my Company's IT manager
therefore I personally "do not have access to BES". It seems to me that I could use BB Connect Desktop to "integrate" my smartphone with my email account.
My understanding is that through BBCD I can right avoiding my smartphone activation into BES server, correct ?
I have some questions:
1) upon "integration" of my smartphone, would the regular BB device work any longer ? would both be working ?
2) how generally does it work BBCD ? it is not very clear to me.
3) supposing I won't like BBC on my smartphone: on returning to my regular BB device, could I avoid calling my IT manager for assistance ? I must avoid being in the need of him.
Thanks !
Paolo
