Default How to - disable firewall in 7230 T-Mobile

Please Login to Remove!

As I wrote someplace else I changed the handheld and this one works different that the previous one. I had and have 7230 with T-Mobile. In the previous one as I remember I could go to Firewall status and change it to disable. Now, there is nothing I can do with it. Please assist with that.

You should just be able to go to option -> Firewall -> Change the option

v.4.0.0.185 the newest from T-Mobile. The same I had on previous handheld. Strange, isn't it?

I have the same problem on my Nextel 7520. When I received it I could change the option at will. I then wiped and reloaded the unit and ever since I can not change the firewall option.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7290/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

This may be a stupid question but what are the advantages to disabling the firewall?
