The OS referenced is for the *8300*. Your *8320* uses a different OS, so it will not work.

Sorry, you'll have to wait for a foreign carrier to pick up the 8320 and get a version of the OS built by RIM which includes Chinese fonts and PinYin input. I truly doubt the T-Mobile version does.

Chungs, no need to double post. I can tell you from one single post that there is no Chinese input support for the 8320.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Thanks for the correction, I don't even realize it is a 8320.

I don't think that's supported without the Chinese input support. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that fact.

On my T-Mobile 8700g, Chinese character display was supported WITHOUT the need of having the Chinese input support installed on my BlackBerry and using T-Mobile's OS. However, as I posted in response to Chungs in another thread, the T-Mobile 8320 is not supporting Chinese character display (either simplified or traditional) with the current OS.

Default Users are able to read Chinese in ATT Curve

It seems to me some users of ATT Curve are able to read Chinese after installing a freelance's ".cod" files. I am wondering if TMO's Curve can be made in the same way.

It's possible. Also, there are some 8300 Curve OS's that have Chinese support. You might be able to take .cod's from one of those. However, I don't know which ones are necessary to make it work.

Thank you all for the great help. I guess i will have to wait and see. If anyone found a way to make TMO 8320 capable of reading Chinese, please share!!! I assume 8300 and 8320 OS is different. That's why I could not install 8300 OS onto mine.
