Red face Replacement screen for curve 8520 ?????

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all. My precious BB recently had a water related accident and the screen is no longer working. I have looked into buying a new one of these on Ebay but it seems there are two types of screen available.

The options are
007-004
or
007-111

I don't pretend I know anything about BB apart from the fact I love mine and I would like to try and resurrect it. I have a friend who is techincal and will try to repair it (I am aware it may not work) but he needs to know which screen I need to get..

Help please

There's actually a 3rd option of screen. (005/004)
It should be printed on the back of the LCD itself, which means taking it apart to look at it.
This is the only way to tell which model you need.

Thanks. I'll ask him to look at it again. Where on the screen will it be printed and would getting the wrong one not work! silly question I know. Is it likely to fix my bb if we do get the right one.

nice triple posting!

It depends on the model but it will be printed somewhere.
Also, yes, that's why there's different model numbers.

I'm doing this on an iPod touch and it is very sensitive. Lol. Can't figure out how to delete.

Now that the language is cleqaned up.

007-004 is just a LCD

007-111 is the LCD in the holder.

Depending on your ability, the LCD with holder may be best. You can search Youtube for a video detailing the replacement.
YouTube - How To Change Fix Repair Blackberry 8520 8530 Housing LCD Screen Verizon Sprint.

I suggest you order a replacement from a vendor on this site. Ebay is an unknown.

The cost is about $20.00 to 40.00

Well depending on the cost to unlock the Pearl. Maybe the cost for a new LCD would be cheaper. I dont know how much the Unlock codes cost. But I do recommend Horizon.
