Question Broken roller ball rim

Please Login to Remove!

I need help! I went to clean my roller ball because it was sticking and now the rim part is broken and wont stay on. Does anyone know how to get a new one???????

I would order the ring and roller ball, look on eBay, they are cheap. Order from a US seller otherwise you will have to wait 2 weeks to a month to receive it.

I was thinking the same thing. A replacement assembly was very cheap when I did it a while back on my old 8820. Just be sure the kit you buy includes the ring.

Buy a ring and ball kit, they are cheap and a lot easier to deal with.

Everyone is correct - a new ball annd ring kit is the best route.

Make absoulutely sure it's an OEM RIM kit!!!

Almost every other kind is inferior and nowhere near as durable.

And a guitar pick is usually all you need. I used to completely disassemble my pearl every week to clean my trackball - untill I found out the trick with the, errrrr, pick :P

Check youtube for instructions - there's tons of really good step by step instructions for replacing many blackberry parts, on there
