Default Free SMS Texting App Avail.????

Please Login to Remove!

So I know this question has been asked, in a variety of different ways, but is there a way to text message using SMS to anyone, not just BB users w/PIN, with an application that works, that is availiable using data transfer rather than the regular SMS route though the service provider so I dont have to suscribe to unlimited texting. Is there a way on a STORM 9530 possibley through Yahoo IM, AIM apps or otherwise. There has to be a program being developed, and the only thing that promises something close to this which does not work on my BB 100% is CortadoSMS 2 Desk. Which send the message without it having to be opened to my email where I am able to read it. The program says I am then able from my email to text back, but unfortunately it wont let me text back to the sender. Is there a similar program that works. (Sending the text, without it having to be opened to an email, which then from my BB I would be able to text back from the email.) Any ideas? Or anyone know of any developers working on this, or established programs that would get the job done. Thanks all.

Two questions, Google Talk is not the Same as Google Voice, Correct? and if it is or you can SMS from Talk then how do you do so on the 9530 because just as with all the other IM's on BB Storm 9530 it asks to add friends, and without a username the person whom you are trying to SMS cannot recieve messages if they are not suscribed to the IM'ing service. I have heard in several diff forums that through BB AIM some people used to be albe to SMS but they cannot anymore. I have also heard that through Google Voice you used to be able to download it ofr the 9530 until they updated it and it wont let you download unless you have the program from before the update. Is there a way someone could send be the program or is there a way to manipulate any of these options so that I can SMS unlimited through Data messaging rather than being charged for SMS????

Google Talk = Instant messenger client.
Google Voice = a completely different app, giving you a new phone number that you can divert calls too etc etc. invite only at this time, and only in the US.
google it!

Thanks for the help, And I did google it and came up with the same info. That still does not help regarding downloading google voice though. Or an SMS program that functions as mentioned above. Could Someone possibley send me the app somehow?

I can already forsee someone posting a link to the mobile google voice site, well please don't as it doesn't work for me, only saying my device is unsupported, yet as stated above apparently it works and for a version 5 user.

Default Google Voice

Google voice works on the 9530, you have to change your browser on the your phone to Firefox and not blackberry. then direct your browser to m.google.com/voice and download it to your device. It works fine.

Hello,

You should use VoipBusterSMS available on the App World (Known as VoipBuster Blackberry SMS on internet).
It works really well for me.

Default Verizon SMS

If you are texting Verizon phones, you can get around sending SMS messages...

You send an email to <phone number>@vtext.com (ex. 5551234567 @ vtext.com)

The person receiving the text can reply to the SMS normally, but it will come back to your email account. You can continue the thread that way. Works great for Verizon, but not sure about other carriers.

It is called a gateway, most carriers have it.

And welcome to the forums.
