Default Blackberry Connect on a E71?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

I heard from a friend. That he found a site on google. Which showed you how to install bbconnect on a E71 by spoofing the phone into thinking its a e51 or something.

Would anyone here have the page handy? Or know a guide to do so? It also showed you how to fool the blackberry servers into thinking the e71 was a real blackberry.

Thanks for any info.

John

Default Out of Context

If you're going to post a link post the source. Too many blogs, including my own post their own thoughts and sometimes quotes from the source MAY be out of context.

Nokia says new mobile email offer doing well | Reuters

yes RIM is working on bringing BBConnect back to nokia s60 but will it just be BBConnect or BB App Suite nobody knows or when.

Your "FRIEND" that sourced a site to somehow spoof E71 to another device like E90 for BBConnect probably was talking out his/her arse and thinking that Product Code changing - which voids your warranty - would do it when the codes for any other device will NOT match for a different model and thus not even Phoenix desktop SW which does this would work - probably screw up your E71 and brick it.

Please if true get your "freind" to get the link and post all info & stop spreading misinformation.

Seems like you may be "jplunks" from Howardforums posting a question like this today.

It is over on Howard's Forum. I ran into it, but I don't have an exact link and am hardly vouching for it.

Does anyone know if Blackberry messenger work on the Blackberry connect or is it just for push email and internet browsing?

I had it on my E-61 but removed it since I used the Nokia email. It has not been that long ago. I am guessing that it is available on Nokia's Europe site.
Long time ago the E-62 came with it.
