My 9000 is stuck in SOS. Unable to make calls or get a signal. It states "Initialization Failed" Can anyone help.

Have you tried a battery pull? That is the first thing you should do in troubleshooting.

And please update your profile to reflect the 9000 as opposed to the 8300.

Go to the closest AT&T corporate store and ask for a new SIM. You have Fried SIM. Tastes like chicken.

also check if network is on at 'manage connections'

Initialization failed indicates a SIM card problem.

if the sims work in other phones then the sim card slot itself is toast

Did it get wet or dropped by any chance?

Mine did the same when it got wet (rain). The SIM card slot was toast. No idea how that happened. Store fixed me up.

maybe the sim slot is fried not the simcard itself
