You know how in outlook you can compose an email and "send as" another user on the mail system. Can this be done with a blackberry??

Our Helpdesk staff would like to use this if possible so they send emails from the Helpdesk email address rather then their personal email addresses.

Set up the Helpdesk email address as a BIS account on the handheld.
As long as you didn't set the Service Exclusivity IT Policy to force outbound messages through BES, then you should be able to do what you want to do.

OK, colour me stupid, but can you set up a second email account on a BB?

The BB's in question have accounts on the BES, how would I go about setting up a second account?

You can have 1 BES account (which you have) plus 10 BIS accounts.
On the device, there should be a "Email Setup" or "Personal Email Setup" icon somewhere.
Use that to integrate POP3, IMAP or OWA accounts on your device.
It will be email-only. No organizer functions at all... but I don't think you need that anyway.

(The only caveat is that your IT Policy needs to permit this type of use.)

You can also set up BIS via a web browser on your PC. BlackberryFAQ.com (via Blackberry.com's Blackberry Smartphone Setup pages) indicates that Bell Canada's BIS site is at:
https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=bell

They'll need to modify the Send Using field when they want to send via the Helpdesk email address.
