Default Network Camera help

Please Login to Remove!

Some background first.

I am using a Dlink dc920 network camera. It's wireless on my home network. I can access from any PC, even outside my home. It supports Mjpeg and has both and active X for browsers or Java for mobile phones.

I am using Dyndns so I don't have to worry about my Home IP changes. I have no problem accessing it on any PC.

My blackberry however..

First I tried BB browser. I set and configured the BB browser every which way. It treis to connect but never loads a screen for login. It never errors out or does anything. It just sits there.

Then I tried opera mobile. I can get a login screen, then nothing happens. No errors or anything.

Then I tried Mobiscope. They supposedly support this exact camera model. However, it never gets past testing camera phase. I sent two support emails to mobiscope, but have not heard anything for a few days. Glad decided on a trial first.

I am using a VZW 8330 running 4.5.0.131.

I used a freinds Bold on ATT, we were able to get a little further with WIFI and hotspot browser, but still not fully functional.

I am convinced it's a BB issue and not the Cam itself since there are no problems using a PC to access.

ANY advice or help appreciated.

The 8330 does not have wifi so have wifi.

The BlackBerry 8330 is not on your home Network so you will not be able to access your network resources from your BlackBerry.

Wifi will get you closer, however depending on what the logon site runs at depends if it's compatible with the BB.

I honestly do NOT think you accomplish what you are trying.

Using DYN dns you can access you home network on BB. I've done this before with Utorrent and it's Web GUI.
To clarify, We used his wifi at his house on bold to try and connect here. Got partial connection.
We tried Bold just to see. Primary BB is the 8330. People use remote desktop connections all the time on BB's, i'm sure this is possible.

You can get to it remotely I'm sure, I do this with another network camera however the BlackBerry browser is not very good and is most likely going to be the source of your problem. I would try accessing the mobile version from a regular browser to obtain the full URL that it maps you to. Then try putting the full URL into your BlackBerry browser (making sure to use the dyndns hostname) I could be the redirect code on the camera login page that the blackberry browser doesn't like.

Then try playing with your browser settings. IE: enable java support, change the emulation mode from blackberry to IE etc...

did everything with BB browser, java, IE ect.

Never though to try exact address, I was using port number since my router is set to port forward to the cam. Allthough, wouldn't it bee the same thing?

Remote Desktop Apps are a bit different rhen what you are trying to accomplish.

What do you mean by a partial connection? (You've got javaScript enabled in your BB Browser right, and are you using IE emulation?)

What i ment by remote desktop is that Local intranet resources can be accessed through carriers BB internet connection.

Tried local cam address after DYNDNS and BB browser went haywire.

Tried every config of BB browser, IE, java, ect.

Local cam address is 192.xxx.xx.xxx/aview.htm and that typed after dyndns address sent browser all screwy.
