Heard about this today and wanted to get your opinions on it.

Do you agree or disagree with him flying the flag upside down?

Personally, I see his point. It's doing it's point in gaining attention and raising awareness on the issue. 36 students killed in Chicago alone! That number is insane. Columbine was only 10 years ago, the Virginia Tech massacre was only 2 years ago! Have we become desensitized to school violence?

Agree. I am not sure what worries me more: that things like this happen so often, or that the response of those not directly involved is generally a shrug.

School shootings only get attention at "major" schools. There was at least one shooting a year at my high school (besides the various knife fights, gang fights, rapes, etc..)...and well it was lucky if it made local news, much less national. It's just another day at school for many kids...sad, but true.
