has anyone else have or had this problem the speaker in gauging when on a call and no I'm not hitting it with my face.
I have the .861 OS I'm thinking of going to the one from Verizon. 855 can I down load that its a down grade

Yes, you can still downgrade.

I'm not sure what gauging is but I did have a problem with my 9900 speaker, it was crackly and really distorted, I could barely hear what other people were saying. Solved it by taking the phone apart and using a can of compressed air to blow out all of the dust bunnies that had accumulated since new. I only needed one tool, a T5 torx driver.
