Did you read the info in the first post of this thread? It has all you need to fix your problem. I also replied to your other post with the following:

Your messages are deleting because your device has run out of memory. You need to free up memory or this will continue to happen. Resetting the device by pulling the battery will free up some for a short time but the same thing will happen again.

1. Get a media card and move any pictures, ringtones, etc. over to it from the device memory. Do NOT store media on the device memory.

2. Follow the instructions here:

Confirmed. I'm running 4.2.2.180 on my 8320. 15 and 12mb are the only two options available.

My emails and text messages are intact, but my prior calendar entries are being erased. I found information in a BB document as follows:

"The Low Memory Manager (LMM) is an application on the BlackBerry device that deletes medium-priority items, such
as old email messages and out-of-date calendar entries, when the amount of available flash memory on the BlackBerry
device is less than 400 KB."

Is file free memory the same as flash memory? Mine has been 14-15 MB today--not sure what it was yesterday when my calendar disappeared but it probably wasn't much lower, and certainly not less than 400 KB!

Any idea why my calendar is erasing itself? And if I can figure out how to prevent it from happening again, is there then a way to restore my prior entries from an earlier backup without losing the future entries which are still stored on the device?

Check your calendar settings. In the calender > options > General Calendar Options. Under Actions there is a place to specify how long to keep appointments.

It was set to keep appointments for 60 days, but the first time everything prior to the current day was deleted, and then the second time everything prior to a week before was deleted.
