Default Calendar problem w/ error in alert log

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone seen this error in their Alert logs: "Unable to process meeting request in sendHelper"

I've double and triple checked CDO.dll and MAPI32.dll version as well as perms for service account. I have even created a new service account - to no avail....

Are you sure you set those permissions correctly...!?

You may want to post the MAPI and CDO versions too.

Does wireless calendar work at all?

The CDO version is Exchange 2003 SP1 (6.57226??) I believe ( not where i can verfiy at the moment..)

All calendar functions work EXCEPT the ability to create an appt and invite an attendee from the GAL - that invite message is what fails...

I set the perms exactly as the documentation states - to the letter...

thats sounds like a permissions problem.
Take a look at the permissions at the mailbox store - make sure they replicated down there and there are no denies.

I'm thinking permissions myself - I verified the BB service account has the following on all information stores: (I've even assigned the perms directly to each store to be sure..)

- manage information store
- send as
- receive as

Per the book, that is all the perms required - am I missing something?

Posting the appropriate section from the BES log/Agent Log would be more helpful.

I'm having the same problem the original poster is having, except that I'm running BES 4.0 with Exchange 5.5.

The messages that I pulled from the ALRT_01 txt file is:
[30000] (05/11 16:52:18):{0x4B8} EventLog::ThreadProc: Received notification, processing...
[30000] (05/11 16:52:18):{0x4B8} Queuing alarm: BlackBerry Messaging Agent AIGTAXW2K6 Agent 2 (Application Event Log on AIGTAXW2K6): 05/11/2006 16:52:18 (AFFF4E20) -> {Joseph.Monaco@AIG.com} Unable to process Meeting Request in SendHelper
[30000] (05/11 16:52:18):{0x4B4} Alarm::ThreadProc: Received an alarm message
[30000] (05/11 16:52:18):{0x4B8} Queuing alarm: BlackBerry Messaging Agent AIGTAXW2K6 Agent 2 (Application Event Log on AIGTAXW2K6): 05/11/2006 16:52:18 (AFFF4E20) -> {Joseph.Monaco@AIG.com} Send() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=147490
[30000] (05/11 16:52:18):{0x4B4} Alarm::ThreadProc: Received an alarm message

I was wondering if anyone would be able to assist in having these meeting invites working, or what the problem might be so I can resolve the issue. Thanks.

I am actually getting a similar issue. We just recently switched to exch2k3 and i hadnt previously updated the cdo.dll on the bes server. About an hour and a half ago i unregistered the old version of the cdo.dll (6.0.6249.0) and registered the newer version (6.5.7638.2) from the new exchange server. Wireless synching is still wacky right now. It seems that updates from outlook go ok, but updates from Blackberries (new entries, edits, and deletes) dont update back to outlook. Can anyone suggest anything? Unfortunately we don't have T-Support as management cannot justify the purchase.

My problem was resolved as well. It related to some permissioning issues on the exchange server.

A big favour to ask for, would it be ok if you guys could post the resolution or the specific way to get around the issue? It is great news to hear that someone can get it resolved, but it would be better if we could know how exactly it was solved.

Thanks heaps, much appreciated!
