Default Latest OS: 8220 4.6.0.355/4.6.0.209 (Multilanguage)

Software For BlackBerry® Pearl Flip (TM) 8220 smartphone
This will load on any carrier's 8220 model
From Mobistar Belgium

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.355 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.6.0.355
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.6.0.209
* Software Platform: 4.1.0.74
* File name: 8220M_PBr4.6.0_rel355_PL4.1.0.74_A4.6.0.209_Orange _BE.exe
* File size: 88.32MB

Download here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...8EC76A704E9B52

Instructions for installing on ANY 8220(regardless of carrier)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Note For Advanced Users Only: If you plan on deleting the cod file for pre-installed media your exterior LCD will not function correctly. This does not pertain to people doing normal installs. You will not be affected.

For the previous version of this OS:

Thanks Bolin.

Would be really really useful to also add the fixes and updates that comes with each upgrade..... So people actually know why they are taking over 45 minutes for doing this....
Im running now the .180 because the .200 make buggy my media player, leaving me without playlist creation and wrong list information... also some other bugs I put in a thread.... so is it safe to upgrade now? should i?

No dialing lagg for me, but when going to manage connections, still takes over 2 seconds.

So, is this a worthwhile upgrade from .180?

I don't see people posting about problems, so that's encouraging. I'd like to see some more 'works great for me' postings!

I'm getting those dreaded 523 errors on receipt of SMS text messages. I believe it has something to do with the notification libraries. :( I'll keep trying to see if I can fix this damn thing without downgrading though.

Default Working so far

This OS is working fine for me. More so than previous upgrades it was *very* slow for about 20 minutes after the update, but it's been fine since then.

IMO, the lag for dialling has decreased in this OS too.
