OK, since there was a theme to you painting it, I take it back!

I've had no problems with any of the keys stickin. It actually made the keyboard a bit firmer. Doesn't feel like it movevs
Damn you! You are supposed to say "well one or two keys are a little sticky" so that I'm not tempted to buy a new casing, and put a fancy paint job on my brand-new 8700g!

On a serious not though, I'll be sure to post pictures of my girlfriend's 7290 when I finish it. Of course, if camo makes people ask "why?" then you are really going to be horrified by the pearlecent pink and silver theme my girlfriend wants.

I'm in agreement. Not a camo fan, myself, but the job you did looks great, and if you're into it, cool!

Congrats.

I don't have the guts to try and paint my blackberry, but it looks like you do and you did well!

Much respect for your creative design!

I don't have the guts to paint my case either! Nice job though, looks flipping sweet! I don't think I could get away with that type of paint job at my company but if I used the BB for personal use it would be perfect! Thanks for the pics too!

Nice job, and I give you credit for being daring enough to give it a shot! Now, although a bit off topic, I'm confused about the whole camo thing. What exactly are people in a modern-day urban/suburban environment going to "blend into"? A beat to ---t '68 Cadillac? In fact, living near a military installation as I do, I have to wonder the same about the troops that frequent establishments in the area. You're going to a restaurant. If you want to "blend in", wear chrome and red clothing! Nothing stands out more in a non-jungle environment than camo . . so . . what gives?

I love it. Since my brother joined the Air Force, I've developed this strange fascination for camo. But, I think camo is best in small doses.

Oh, and geekboy2000, to answer your question about camo and the military: You've probably noticed that the Marine Corps has switched to a digitized pattern and away from the woodland camo, both in its desert and regular utilities. The Army has also followed suit and the Air Force earlier this year approved a new camo pattern, as well, that seems more suitable for work on base and urban environs. I'm not sure what the Airmen will wear when deployed to desert environs. So, the classic woodland camo that has been utilized by American armed forces for the better part of the 20th and 21st century is on its way out.

As a result, I expect military woodland camo to become even more fashionable for civilians than it already is.

I'm looking at my 8700c right now and envisioning it in camo...mmm.
