From what I can see this option is not avail? On the Pearl there is a trackball lighting option under Phone>options...but that option is not listen on the Curve.....please someone prove me wrong?> please?

That's an interesting question. The option is available in the 8300 simulators. I'm not sure why it's not available on the device.
