Has anyone noticed after the Curve dims, when you tap on a key or the trackball, sometimes the backlight does not come back light up all the way to 100%? It happens to me a few times already and I usually need to roll the trackball a few more times to bring the screen backlight back on.

Happens to me from time to time. I haven't been able to figure out a pattern yet on mine.

do you have automatic backlighting enabled? That will adjust the brightens dependent on the ambiaent(sp) around the blackberry so I understand. If you have that enabled it may never get that bright unless in direct sunlight or darkness i'm not sure which is brighter yet.

anyone else still experiencing this or figured out a fix?

Yesterday mine locked up competely when I got an im on jive. But today while scrolling my inbox, the light when out 4 times, while scrolling down and I had to press a bunch of buttons to get it back on. Is this a bug/defective unit indication? Or an os bug? Using rogers from 7/4 or the last week in june iirc.

On my 8700c, I could press the power button for a second and the backlight would come back up if it was dimmed. On the curve, I can't seem to find a key that will do that.

Well, so I guess it's not the automatic backlight after all? I thought it was this too originally, but even when I sit still at one place, sometimes the light goes out for no reason as well...
