Default Camera not starting

Please Login to Remove!

I tried using the camera on my 8300 after not using it for a couple of weeks, and keep getting the following message when activating: "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again"

I don't have any other applications open, and have never recieved this message before. I tried shutting down and removing the battery, but cannot get to the camera. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Try pulling the battery without powering down.

I just tried pulling the battery without powering down, and am still getting the same message. I guess I'll try escalating to Tech Support via the Blackberry official website (if there is that option).

I'll post the solution if I figure out how to correct this problem, or if anyone else knows how, please let us know!

Thanks again!

Had the same problem a few months back and did some updates and installations, have not had the same problem since. Do a OS update, it should fix the problem.

so i tried wiping the device with jl_comdr and the reloading the os. while i was doing that i got rid of ptt seeing if it might free up some memory and it still says that there isnt enough memory to run it. im going to keep working on it to try and fix it.
