Just wondering if anyone had broken their antennas off of their Nextel Blackberries and if there is an inexpensive source to replace it.

I find it poking me in my side when I holster it and despite not having any love handles, I find it rather annoying. Swiveling away makes it hard to holster off and taking it off wouldn't be the best idea. thanks.

Are you sure those horizontal hosters will work wih the 7520? I have one and it doesn't appear to compensate for the antenna. There is a piece of elastic where I think antenna needs to go.

Wlee said 7 5 2 0 not 7250... damn I forgot about the pesky elastic. Won't work. Sorry I sent you on a wild goose chase. Though you could easily cut the elastic I doubt it would add much to holding the 7520 in that case as it would be pretty tight any way.

as long as you got the 2.99a month insurance from nextel doesnt matter how many you break they will replace them at the service center trust me i've had them replace about 1 a month my dog seems to alwyas get ahold of the antenna..

This is the case I have and I really do not have problems with the antenna poking me.
http://store.bizshopr.com/rimacc-06940-002.html I don't use the standard one because it scratches the BB. But then again WLEE you must have some huge lats or something for it to be poking you in your side...LOL!

Hehe. Went from a 27 to a 34 waist in 12 years. I'm back down to a 32 so no love handles here but it still pokes me at times. I wonder if it is possible to create an antenna that is smaller yet just as effective; perhaps something smaller and wider? GPS really rocks.

Just turn the 7520 horizontal on the stock holster. WOLA! no more love handle pokes

Spray some bitter substance on the antenna (some kind of dogproof spray, I think available at some places), and your dog will quickly find something else to chew on. ;)

The best for that, imho, is a product called Bitter Apple. Available @ Petsmart, etc...
