After the 10th attempt it will reset back to factory default settings. Seeing as you're not on a BES and the language is changed then there is no way around this. RIM can't change your password and there is no hack that I am aware of to get around this.
Have you tried connecting it to your PC and trying the password there? You never know, it might work for some strange reason. It can't hurt at this point.
Yes, I can open it with the desktop manager, the password works because my computer keyboard is in english. But I can't change my password from there :(
You can't change your language settings but you can backup your data and the selectively restore the contacts/messages/calendar after it's wiped. Or restore the whole backup and then change the language, either way you'll have your data intact
If you download the os for your model BB and install it you can then select what language support you want, not sure if that will remove the language itself from the BB but it never hurt to see.
You can check in the Application Loader after you install the OS.
Hello! I am trying to access the info on an old blackberry of mine. For some reason, non of the passwords i entered are working, i know i did change it right befere i stoped using it cause i got a newer one. Anyway, im on the 10th try and i dont want to keep risking it cause all data will be errased. The address book in it its important to me, do u have any idea how i can retreave the address book bypassing the password...im scared to loose the info. could you help please???
Thank you!
unfortunately we get people asking that question all the time here. As John said the entire point of the password protection is to keep anyone from getting into the device that doesnt have that password.
