I am wondering when I setup my GMAIL on my 9670 it asked if I want to sync Contacts and Calendar I did and it seems to download the contacts and calendar fine, as well as send contacts and calendar created on my bb to my gmail fine. But when I edit my gmail contacts/calendar or create new entries they don't seem to be pushed to my device. I remember in the past it was full two way sync.
Am I miss informed?

for now I am using the Google Sync app, but i don't like as if my device can natively support 2 way sync I rather use it.

Yes it is two-way. How long are you waiting? If it's like Google Sync. changes made on the device sync in the next 10 or 15 minutes but changes made to Gmail contacts or Google calendar can take up to 2 hours or so.

I don't use the native gmail for sync. Like you, I use Google Sync but for for two reasons. One I can check to see when the last sync was done and how many changes were made. Two, all of my appointments are under a calendar assigned to an email address that is not a Gmail account. I understand it doesn't work unless it's set up with a gmail address.

I use Calendar sync on my BB, MacBook and PC and found it to work very well. Some updates appear in short order, but others can take an hour or two as wjerb pointed out above. Just depends on where you are int he sync cycle, I guess. You can always do a manual sync on the BB however.

I have the Google Sync app loaded and I hit that icon to get it sync. Don't use Google App sync or the BIS feature for Google calendar and contacts so I can't help with that.

would anyone know how to do a manual sync if you are not using the google sync client, but rather rims BIS?

you cant do a manual sync if you want to use the sync built into BIS, it syncs when its ready to sync, there is no way to manually force it.

Does anyone have any idea what to do when BIS BB-Google calendar sync stops working at all? My Contacts sync to Google fine, but calendar sync isn't happening. I'm not sure how long it's been going on, since I use the BB calendar more than the Google one.

Here's what I've tried so far:

-- Battery pull
-- Deleting and re-creating my Gmail account.
-- Resending service books.
-- Making sure that the boxes for syncing contacts, calendar, and deleted items entries are all ticked in the "Configure email" screen on the BIS site (and also on the device).

None of this works. It just doesn't sync. Anything else I might try?

I am on BIS and my contacts sync perfectly however calendar doesnt. I have done the battery pull, resent service books, installed gmail id several times. No result. Can somebody pls help... Thank you. I dont want to use Google sync but the native sync that is available in OS 5.0
