hey just letting everyone know that there is a data outage occuring effective immediately in the southwest florida area for all alltel subscribers...

i'll keep checking and let you know if i figure anything out...

yep...just verified the outage with a csr...it's a spotty issue right now, as i just received three emails when i was on the phone with them, but i still can't send any or get any internet. verified known issue and they are working on it but no eta as to when it will be back up...

Still out this morning...had a short period around 7am when it worked...spoke with a csr who said, basically they had no idea when this issue would be resolved.

Mine is still out also, apparently its affecting a large area of the southeast

yeah i was just back on the phone with alltel five minutes ago and they said they are working with rim but there is still no eta as to when the issue will be resolved...boooooooo!

Ditto the Alltel Blackberry outage in Southwest Florida.

Couldn't they use text messages (which are still functional) to keep us updated on the outage and resolution?

There's nothing on the Alltel website and no recorded announcements on the tech support site (which would probably cut their call volume by 50%).

I was on the phone with tech support Saturday morning as they were discovering the problem. More than a day later, no joy...

good news...i've had successful data usage for at least the past thirty to fortyfive minutes...i've been sending and receiving emails and my internet has been functioning properly...hopefully this is the permanent resolution...

Yep, here in Southwest Florida, my service is out. I'm getting the 1xev lowercase from Alltel.

What's the difference in the lowercase 1xev and the uppercase 1XEV? Never noticed that before.

Just spoke with my contact at Alltel and he says that they just got a message that the entire south east is down and that they are working on it......sounds like they ran out of IP's to me.....
