Question Looking at getting a BB.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all.

I'm looking at getting a bb and was wanting some advise.

I'm most likely going to get one on a cingular account. (I love my plan and all my friends I can call for free.) I've been looking at the 8700c and 7130c. I think I would want the full qwert keys of the 8700c but I hear the screen on it is hard to read in day light. Is this true?

I don't think I would mind the sure type of the 7130c and the fact that it is slim. How about the screen on this one?

So some advise or comments would be greatly thankful.

The 8700 screen is totally readable even in bright sunlight.

I agree that it'll take some time for you to adjust to the screen of the 8700 in bright sunlight but once you are used to it you'll not feel the difference. The screen adapts it's brightness to the surroundings and hence is a good one. I'd recommend the 8700 (even though have not used any other BB) simply because it's considered the best BB so far in India.

I am sure the members on this forum will help you make a more informed choice.

Personally I rather have a full qwerty but I haven't used to suretype much...I think that the wider screen on the 8700 will look better when viewing websites but that's my opinion

Thumbs up

I own the 8700g, and the screen is VERY vibrant. Personally haven't had any issues with the screen in bright sunlight.

The 8700 and 7130 carry the same screen res and both have an ambient light sensor which alters depending on lightling conditions, so the only thing in is:

a. SureType or QWERTY

b. What screen size do you want
