All 4.5 versions support HTML. I would look to the BES version your device is connected to.

I just talked to our administrator about the BES. As it turns out we are not actually using a true BES, rather the BlackBerry Professional version 4.1.4.17, with BlackBerry Manager 4.1.4b. I guess this is why my e-mail will not display HTML images any longer. He told me this is the latest version of the Professional, even though version 4.1.6 of BES is out.

Do you have any information on this software, and possible future upgrade for it?

I have also downloaded the trial version of BBSmart Email Viewer to see if it would work for me in my situation. Fortunately I have found that it does. This looks like a really good application, and very well worth the price for the HTML feature. Its options are really easy to follow; and I like the fact that if I wanted it, there is also a user's manual to download to use as a handy reference.

Default Problems HTML emails in OS 4.5

Gentlemen

Ixxx8217;ll summarize my HTML email problem:

xxx8226; I had a BB 8310 with an old OS;
xxx8226; My company gave me a mobile. The same BB 8310, but with OS 4.5 installed;
xxx8226; I could notice that the emails, in the new one, were not equal the old one xxx8211; with hard text. They were in good HTML format ;
xxx8226; Then, I updated the old one mobile with new 4.5 OS using BB Desktop Manager;
xxx8226; Finally I imported the data base (contacts and software installed), from the old to the new one, using BB Desktop Manager;

Unfortunately, after I did all tasks before, my emails in the new BB changed. They are not more in HTML format despite of I had set the mobile to do it.

Ixxx8217;ve tried a lot of things, as to delete my account emails and install them again, to update the OS, to do a hard mobile reset, disconnecting the battery, etc. No success.

I appreciate suggestions to fix my format emails.

Thanks in advance

Your BES needs upgrading to enable the HTML.

on my 8310 I have upgraded to v4.5.0.55. I have deleted all the service books and deleted all the accounts, I have created them again and sent the books again and I still have no html. Furthermore, I don't have the option to enable HTML on the email options. I have followed the instruction on this thread step by step. What can i do?

Thank you.
