Yes i do have that theme for the 8700. I have the entire NFL for both the 8700 and the 7100.
Total i have 104 themes for 71xx and 87xx.
I have 23 for the 72xx series.
I'll work on posting more for each.

I had the same problem for awhile. There's two important things to remember: when you're making a PNG, the more differentiation there is in an image (i.e., the more "stuff" and the less solid color), the larger the file tends to be. With JPG's, your file size goes up when the quality % goes up -- and, another little known fact, JPG's tend to be larger file sizes the brighter they are, all other things being equal. So you have two choices. The way I handled it for the background I used in the 8700 version of the Bliss theme was to put a deep blue gradient over the image, fading out to the bottom. This made more of the image closer to a single, solid color, hence making the file size smaller, and wasn't all that noticable because most of the top half of the wallpaper is covered by the banner anyway. The other strategy is to use JPG and just keep reducing the quality until it fits. On screens this size, you're not really going to notice much of a difference between 60% and 90% anyway.

also, i have photoshop, what's the size i need to make a transparent banner where the clock is located?

PM me i'll send u the clear banner..
On the 60k thingy. Use web safe colors (that helps) use .gif files when your able. forget .png they are not as clean/clear. Reduce the color and try and find a copy of Adobe Elements or Paintshot Pro it will help. When i use Elements i save the image as a web image and it reduces a 100k image down to under 40k. Using Paintshop Pro it tries it's best but fails to reduce the images enough so i normally crop it down.

I'm not sure about Photoshop, but Photoshop Elements has under the File menu an option to "Save for Web". With that option you can save as png8 and set Optimize for file Size. I use 56K and it works perfectly.
Hope this helps.

[QUOTE=mrogers]I have released a new theme, Highway (this is only my second theme, I'm not quite the "theme machine" srl is ). It has a new icon set. Description and download available on my web site (link). Preview:
One important thing to note about these preview shots (because it bugs the hell out of me) is that your carrier's name (Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc) should fit inside the center graphic underneath the time display -- not sprawled out like "GPRS Test Network" is. It looks a lot better on the actual device.
Currently it is only available for the 7200 series. I will consider doing other versions depending on interest. It takes a while to do all the icons!
I hope you enjoy it! OTA download is available here.[/QUOTE
Please do 7100 series, that theme is tight!! great job.

Thanks alot guys! I actually had Photoshop Elements and never tried to 'save for web'. Works like a charm! As soon as I get some finished I'll try to post them.

another hint about the sizes, In the Theme Builder Documentation, there is a table of the optimum sizes for each item and each Base Theme. I took a screen shot and when I forget, I load it into Photoshop for quick reference.
Hope this Helps

Here is a USCG Theme for the 8700, I don't have anyway to ZIP it right now so I can't link to it but here are the screen shots.

Test run on attaching a picutre thumbnail. This is what I used on the theme I have right now. I am trying to find some new icons to spruce it up.
