Default Viewing Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

Often when I have a late afternoon or evening appointment and I try to scroll down to it on the daily view of the calendar the calendar will simply scroll ahead to the next day (skipping the end of day entries) making it hard to select that item and open it. I had the same issue on my 9000 so I know it is not a trackpad issue. Anyone else have the issue or know how to deal with?

So, not all the time, just sometimes? When it happens, have you tried a battery pull? And if so, does it still happen in the same place as before after you have done a battery pull?

Not always and not in same spots. Battery pull did not help. Just seems to skip certain late entries as if not there and jump to next day.

I don't know. I experimented with my calendar and couldn't cause the symptoms you are describing.

One thing I'm wondering . . . I've noticed with the trackpad that it is sensitive to how rapidly you 'swipe'. I suspect this is by design, as when I've noticed I thought to myself, "That's coool!". Anyway, have you experimented with your technique?

Also, I know it isn't the best answer, but a work around would be to use agenda view. Maybe even make agenda your default view.

did you try extending the start and end of the day to cover the appointment times?

Calendar options- general options - formatting

There's something here I'm not understanding. In day view, my calendar does not automatically skip to the next day. When I scroll down to the end of the day, that's it. I can scroll left or right at any point to go back a day or forward. I see that as the way it is supposed to be, though it is very easy to accidently go forward or back if you aren't careful to swipe straight up and down. The latter is probably just a matter of trackpad settings.

I even tested by adding an appointment outside my 'day'. No difference. The appoint shows in my day view and I can easily scroll to it. And when I scroll to the end of the day and keep swiping down, the calendar does not go to the next day.
I don't know why the OP could be seeing what he is seeing, or I don't understand the post.

I was actually going to suggest doing the opposite: reduce the start and end times of the day. Because the Calendar should show appts even if they are outside this window. By reducing the start and end times, you remove unnecessary white space so that all your appts for the day show up.

And like others have said, if I just scroll up and down, my Calendar doesn't jump to the next day. Might be accidental horizontal swiping.

Been playing a lot and it seems like it may be the movement. If I am really careful and go straight down it stops at end of day. Slight deviation and I move to next day. Thanks to all for your ideas!

Good deal. And the trackpad is sensitive. I had never noticed because I use agenda view. But in day you really have to be carefull. I hope practice and experience make it easier for you.

I prefer to set the horizontal sensitivity less than vertical - makes for fewer of these accidental side swipes.
