Default How Can I Use At&t Gt Ultra Express Without Paying More Than Bb Service??

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a option wireless gt ultra express from AT&T and want to use it with the same simcard i use in my bb?
basicly if i am stuck in an airport and want to use the internet for 10 minute i wanna be able to pop my simcard out and put it in the connect card and use it
when i spoke to att they said it would be an extra $30 a month to have 5 gb of data
i wont be using it near that often and I am not interested in paying another $30 a month?
is there any way around this??
here is the link to the card i bought

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Not that I know of! It might be possible but keep in mind you could end up paying pay per use charges

A few things:

1. Please do not attempt to type in all caps like you did in your title.
2. Please do not double-post. BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community - View Single Post - USB Modem or Tethering??

Finally, the answer to your question:

The best thing for you to do is tether. You can tether on at&t without paying the addtional fee, and with the Bold you will receive 3G speeds.

I believe AT&T will charge you $10 per month for tethering functionality. You may or may not fall under your hand held's data plan. As such if it's unlimited you may get unlimited data via tethering. But please don't quote me on this.

I don't believe you can get the tethering without them adding it, but as was said prior, you may be open to higher per use charges, without a plan of some sort.

You need to use Cingular Orange, but you may need to change the username to [email address] and use the APN wap.cingular.

Yes. You need to change the username to [email address] and use the APN wap.cingular. I have the same problem like you before.

The APN is wap.cingular, and the username should be [email address]. The password is CINGULAR1. If that doesn't work, try it without a username and password. The username and password are for proxy access, but smartphone and BlackBerry plans do not require a proxy.
