hi

i have been running bes 5.0 sp2 for a little while now and i have noticed (always been the case) that when i went to configure public folder contact sync that it takes a good 3 minutes for the public folder tree to become available. this is running on windows 2008 r2 with sql 2008 r2 on the same box

now when i assign the public folder contacts to the individual users using the default messaging component and select the email tab i get a spinning wheel for about 3 minutes in internet explorer before it becomes available

if i then click on edit user it takes another 3 minutes

in one of our other offices we are running bes 5 on a separate environment and a separate exchange server they have exactly the same issue. (they have sql running on another server)

it is a bit painfull assignign public folder contacts to individual users when it takes about 6 minutes per user.
anyone else noticed this?

it looks like it has something to do with accessing the public folder and it takes a while to open up.
