Ha! So it wasn't just me. I rely on UMA with my 8320 at home. I had to practically drive out of my apartment complex to call out of work yesterday. I must have turned my phone off/on and pulled the battery about ten times yesterday and reset my router a couple of times.

Went down a few times for me today and some random uma instead of UMA. But as of now I just got home and it hooked right up and I have UMA now.

Here's hoping......

Yep, I've been pretty good here just a couple of times I wake up the phone and notice it's "SOS" but then UMA snaps back. Also, I am getting periods of lower signal strength indicators than before and I don't believe it's because I'm watching it more. What's odd about that though is that I would assume that signal strength indicator would be the signal to my Access Point and nothing to do with T-Mo's network... I haven't changed a thing at home. Weird!

All in all though, we are MILES better than we were 5 days ago so I am happy!

Yeah, if it says UMA then the signal bars are from your router. You can hit alt + NMLL and it will change to numbers and then type it again and it will change back to bars. That usually updates the bar indicators.

I have had good UMA coverage since two nights ago. It appears this issue has been resolved. If you're not getting UMA sometimes turning off all connections and turning them back on will fix the problem. If that doesn't do it, remove the battery and reboot the device. If that still doesn't do it, erase your WLAN profile using Manage Connections >Wifi Options >Highlight the profile and delete it. Then scan for networks and re-add. Beyond that, if it still doesn't work check your router settings and/or call TMobile. Also check Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ for more wifi/uma settings, hints and tips.

It seemed to be up overnight, but now during the day I am cycling back and forth between UMA, uma, and the cellular network (Chicago area). This is occurring on both my 8320 as well as my Nokia 6086.

Weird, get this, I saw I still had EDGE and decided to go see what my error code was and see if there was another reason it wasn't working.

I go into the wifi diagnostics and it shows I AM connected to UMA with green checks in all the circles...

I think I am going to restart it quick here....

I've had good UMA service at home for the past few days with no disconnects that I've seen on my 8320.
