Default Trackpad not working properly

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,
i just received a new Bb 9300 for one of our users, but seems that the trackpad
is not working properly: left/right/down motions are ok, but every time i try to go up i have to use the pad 3 or 4 times.
Do you have any fix to suggest or should i have the new one?

Thanks

did you try adjusting the sensitivity of the track pad? i had the same issue and this helped. overall i find that the trackpad on the 9300 isn't as good as the 9700. its the biggest thing i dislike about my blackberry.

I had the same problem as you, apparently there was a batch of 9300's that has a faulty trackpad. Return it and get a new one

Nice to hear. I just got my 9300 curve 10 days ago and after much testing find the track ball loves to go left or down int' THE DARK". The curser moves non stop left which is a pain when trying to type. After trying it near phone lines, in areas of our phones, we figured out its sensitive to dark and goes nuts in the dark or dim light. I have rebooted ( battery out) every time and its even seems worse after that . I video taped it to show someone out there what i mean. Its crazy annoying. IM within my 14 day trial and so its going back. DO I dare get another on or move up to a better, different track ball one??

I bought a 9300 and had the exact same problem. After reading online that the Trackpad of the Curve 3G is crap, I returned it and got a 9700, which is very precise

The trackpad on the 9300 is a bit elevated / curved, as opposed to the flat out Trackpad on the 9700 and the 8520.

This slight curve is the problem where it tends to make your finger stick at a certain point and making the motion not so smooth.

Question Re: Trackpad not working properly

I am on my 3rd 9700. (but my 6th blackberry). In the past month in a half I have not had as many problems as I am having now. This is the 3rd time that the track pad is unresponsive. I am able to select but cannot scroll up, down, left or right. The first 9700 I owned lasted me over a year, then the last two is less than a few months each (the most recent, less than one month).

Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be part of an upgrade? Any feedback will help. Thanks!
