Default Reconsile Now! BES 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

I have about 10 BB users in the field who use Outlook as the client. Everything works fine as far as receiving mail and sending it between the client and BB units. But when you delete from Outlook, it does not delete from the BB unit, and when you delete from BB, it does not delete from Outlook untill you press Reconsile Now on the BB!.. wasn't this suppoesd to be automatic and instantanious? Is there a way to make this a high priority or automatic?

Thanx!

It runs on a 20-minute cycle. I've noticed mixed results, ranging from instant to 45 minutes or so. The latter part of that spectrum shouldn't be happening, but the instantaneous status reconciliation is usually the result of the update being pushed right as that interval is cycling around.

Might also be worth checking the BB devices to see what they have got set in 'Delete on' on the device

Default no delete

now when you say deleting in Outlook; are you deleting from Inbox/sent items so the emails are in Deleted Items folder or are you purging them??!

I do level 1 tech support for a company that decided to have all items in deleted items folder to automatically PURGE emails in 24hr timeline. insane results; sometimes 1 hour.

Should comeback or just manually delete of the HH.

Also, keep in mind that BES 4.1 now supports 'hard deletes' which will essentially remove any messages that have been permanently deleted (shift+del or deleted items recycled or deleted by an assistant (thus in their deleted items folder)) or moved to a personal folder/archive.
