Smile I'm a new member: Wanting info on how to clean my screen

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my phone for about 6 months now and the screen just keeps getting dirtier.I've searched almost everything on how-to clean it off (the dust, grime, and smears from general use,not scratches.)
Some say not to use solvents but someone who looked at my screen told me that in its condition it wouldn't hurt the phone to spray on some lens cleaner and use a microfiber cloth.I tried the dry cloth several times first...doesn't work, and then a lens cloth didn't hurt it nor help it..Any new advice???!! thanks!:

I put one of those disposal plastic coatings on the phone which is similiar to what came with your phone and I change the coating periodically. I have also wiped my phone with a damp q tip with windex. I emphasize damp NOT dripping.

Use a soft cloth - like one for cleaning glasses. I do not recommend using any liquid at all. BBs and liquid do not go together very well.

Yhe microfiber cloth that came with my Case-Mate screen protector does a fantastic job.

I'm with Dub . . . go to walmart in the eyewear section up front and get one of the microfiber cloths for cleaning glasses. They probably still have the type from 3M that is almost the size of a washcloth. If all you have is oil from your skin, the microfiber cloth will be all you need.

Mine didn't come with seperate screen protector but when I got it out box it looked like it had one on but couldn't peel it off - how can you tell if it's got one on - or is it really obvious (my LG has one on and you'd never know if you didnt put it there yourself)

NEVER EVER SPRAY ANY LIQUID ON ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICE!!!!!!!

Whoever told you to do this is an idiot. Or at best a totally clueless person. If this was someone in a store, stay away. If this was a friend or family member, just don't listen to their advice ever again.

It's hard to imagine going six months without cleaning your screen at all so I'm doubtful that the cloth by itself is going to do the job. If your screen requires something more than the microfiber cloth as recommended by others, lighty (I repeat, lighty) mist the cloth (not the screen) with the lens cleaner and then apply to the screen. The cloth should be only slightly damp - on or two light sprays on the cloth (I'd start with only one) should be plenty. The less, the better. Is you see any residual liquid on the screen, you've used too much.
