Default Force emails onto handset

Please Login to Remove!

When a new handset runs enterprise activation it syncs the contents of the user's inbox (going back something like 2 weeks) to the handset.

My question is: on an already-activated handset can I get this to happen without wiping and re-activating the handset? I've tried deleting the Desktop [SYNC] service book and then running an enterprise activation but it refuses to bring down any emails!

For info I'm running BES 4.1 and the handset is an 8707.

You don't have to wipe it but you do need to remove the user from BES and re-add.

Ah, I didn't try that. To give you an overview of my situation - we've had some exchange problems and a few users handsets have stopped syncing mailbox changes in either direction. Getting the sync back up and running is a fairly simple process, but the user is then left with an Outlook inbox that looks very different to their Blackberry inbox.

So what I'm going to do now is:
1) Delete Desktop [SYNC] service book from handset
2) clear messages from handset with desktop manager
3) Remove user from BES and re-add
5) Set activation password and run enterprise activation

Hopefully this will bring down the two weeks of emails, better than none at all!

Thanks x14, I'll post how I get on.

The above process worked. I actually only got something like 5 days of email back (possibly because of the aforementioned exchange issues) but much better than nothing.

Thanks again x14.
