Default 9860 App memory

Please Login to Remove!

I have just upgraded to a Torch 9860 and I love it!
It's my first fully touch-screen phone and was in two-minds whether to have one or not, but glad I did.

Question.
The phone has 512mb of App memory according to My World in App world.
The thing is that I have only got 173mb left of the 512 ............ ?
the Apps I have installed only add up to 14.19mb; that means I should have 497mb available, not 173mb.

Can anyone advise on how / why this is so and how I may recover the 324mb of missing memory.

Hope that makes sense!

Try uninstalling all the foreign languages you dont need via the desktop software... That will free up some space.

When you do your next OS upgrade just select the only things you "need" installed on your deivce and leave the rest out.

I have had my 9860 a month after it came out and it's pretty good though i recommend you getting a screen protector if you haven't already.

Hmm, I guess if you want to go and remove EVERY SINGLE app which is installed on the phone, including the basic "phone" app, then you can recover that "missing" 75MB. Unfortunately, that will render the device significantly less useful for you.
