Default My webapp slow on Bold - Please help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All - I'm hoping someone could provide some insight to an issue I've hit.

So we have a mobile web application for blackberry fitness tracking and it was working great for all BB devices and working quite fast. (Mobile Fitness Tracking | Gym Technik)

However, I just bought a bold and I've noticed that the mobile web application is having 2 issues on the bold that is not occuring on other devices:
1) The pages are taking a brutally long time to load up (3 seconds on 8800 series vs. 60 seconds on Bold)
2) The content on the page is huge and not taking in any of the formatting we've done (Format is perfect on 8800 but on bold it's huge)

Any thoughts? Is there anything different on the bold? It seems to be a device issue as I beleive the browsers are the exact same.

Help is much appreciated.

The browser on the Bold is an entire re-write, absoluely everything about the browser has changed...

Have you checked out the new documentation for the 4.6 OS browser? BlackBerry - Product Manuals and Guides

As well, there have been a few new revisions of the Bold's operating system, you may want to check to see if there is an updated version.

Also, what network are you running the Bold on?

brcewane - Thanks so much. We'll take a look at this right now.

As for the network I'm running it on - 3G.

Are you running 3G in the US on AT&T??? the early OS versions of 4.6 on the Bold had some 3G issues. Check for any latest OS updates that might help with the speed.

crackberry.com had some interesting posts on some troubles they had on 3G in the US.

I'm running 3G with the Rogers network in Canada. I'll definitely check for OS updates though. Thanks brcewane.
