Thumbs up

I spoke to a rep at 3:30 this morning who said it will be available retail on April 15, and as an upgrade for the 3rd quarter. I guess I can wait a month. The T-Mo model looks better than Cingular's anyway...

Where are you seeing T-Mobile's version? Or are you looking at the 8700g since that is T-Mobile's UK version?

April 15th is a Saturday. Seems a little strange that they would release it on such a day. The 13th is a Thursday; seems more likely. Now the real question... what will the theme look like. LOL

I wish he could pull some strings and get us each one. I'd pay top dollar!

I just hope that they don't have the same issues the other 8700's. Like dust getting in between the screen and the case, buttons sticking, ect.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7100/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

My rep says I'm not eligible for a full discount until July. I'm not sure what it will cost me in April, but I think i'll bite right away. I got this slippery 7100t for free so I can justify splurging now. Any update on the retail price?

Hello all,

I walked into a TMO corporate store the other night and asked about the 8700. The sales rep indicated that the estimated date that it would be available would be 4/13/06 and that they would probably have a live unit the Friday before. He also handed me a print out with pics and a description of the phone.

I asked him if the data plan pricing was going to change due to the fact that a Verizon rep and Cingular rep said that TMO's data plan was going to increase with the release of the 8700 model. I originally thought that this was just a sales pitch and was hoping that the TMO rep would just say no way! However, he stated that he thought that the rate was going to increase, but was not sure.

Granted, I spoke to a sales rep that I just met. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks in advance.

Social7100T: Can I add to your question? Anyone that can answer your question can answer mine.... if rates increased, are we 'grandfathered' in to a rate if we have it now?

Is there anyway you can scan and post the "print out with pics and a description of the phone." I have not seen anything official from T-Mobile and would like to see this.

Thanks for the info.
