Unhappy PC will not reconize BlackBerry when conected via USB...

Please Login to Remove!

So I've done this a million times so I know HOW to do it but the last few times I've tried to conect my BB via USB to my PC it won't read it!! The Blackberry says is charging but then it will blink off! I've tried using different USB cables, but still no luck. Theres no balloon saying "new hardware found" or anything!
Mass storage mode is on and I have it set to prompt so it SHOULD be working but its not!

Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

Thank you!

What version of DM is installed? Connected directly to the BB or via a HUB?

What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

I had the same problem, and it was solved downloading the BB Desktop Manager.

I have this same issue. I have OS 5.0. Everything was fine until I downloaded the newest version of the Desktop Manager. I have used different USB ports, different USB cables but nothing works. It's annoying.

See if you can get your PC to recognize the device by following these steps:

This happened to me a few times in the past. Connect the BB, go to Device Manager and uninstall the Blackberry Smartphone from the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section. Unplug the BB, wait a sec, then plug the BB back in and it should install it as new. Then try to see if it connects. The only other thing that used to give me issues with the PC not "seeing" the BB was my firewall which I had to disable when connecting.
